Bigger tires?

Who's running bigger tires on their truck with the Allison Tranny? I'm thinking of going with 265's or 285's when the time comes. Do bigger tires adversely affect the Allison or do they just mess up the speedometer?

285s will only mess up the speedometer.

I am running 37" m/t on my truck...i have the edge attitude monitor which you can recalibrate ur speedometer.

Been running 305's for two years w/ Juice and/or the quad on the DMAX/Allison. No problems at all empty or pulling.

I'm running 305/70/16's on a stock D-Max CC with Allison for a year with no problems, and my previous 2002 CC with 8.1 and Allison had 285's for 2 years.

yeah, i had 285s on my 01 8.1L HD for a couple years with no issues and now have 305s for the last 7-8 months. No issues other than speedo inaccuracy.
