Got to see our old truck today.

Well I just got home school and my buddy calls and tells me he thinks he saw my old truck at LOWES. So I get a description from him and its close so I take a ride up for myself. Sure enough it was our 1996 K2500 and it was the first time I have seen it since we traded it in in 2001. I got a chance to talk to the new owner and share some stories. She still looked good, and only has 50k.......not bad when we traded it at 33k. I was glad to hear that she is a great truck that has given the new owners no problems.

We ordered that truck new and it took 6months to get because GM went on strike, and my dad let me pick the colors out for it. It was also the first vehicle I drove, I was 11 at the time and the truck was only 2 weeks old, but I was a natural. It just made my day to see it again.

lol, just kiddin. But its good to know that the new owner is taking care of it. I saw my old once, and it looked like it was kept in the sun, and never washed. And all 4 tires were diff.

Yeah I was shocked that it still has such low miles. The guy who has it now uses it for his resturant business so its mainly used to hual supplies and not driven every day.

 

It was just so great to get to see it and know that it is still alive and doing well

 

Our two trucks we had before the blue one were both boght by the same guy. He purchased our 88 and then traded our 88 in for our 93. I thought that was cool and I allways ran into my 93. He just sold it not long ago and it had 110K on it and still looked brand new.
