wheel well liners

I just saw a new 1500 chevy stepside with wheel well liners for the rear.... They looked like they came from the factory. Ha s any one ever seen these for the chevys,I know the dodge trucks have them but did some 1 start making them for chevys?

They covered the wole inside of the rear fender wells...

The wheel well liner that you saw comes on all sportsides or stepsides, whatever you want to call them. They are there because the box sides are made of fiberglass, or a similar material that is prone to getting spider cracks from rocks being tossed up from the tires. My old truck, an 88 stepside had a ton of cracks right in the hump area because my bfg mud terrains would throw rocks like no other.

Will those wheel well liners from the sportside fit into the wheel wells of the regular bed? What's it called; Fleetside? The standard bed like almost everyone has. If the interior of the fender is the same, that might be possible?

I'm really surprised that no one has jumped in with this yet. Try SHOPMAN1. He used to make a kit. Go here for some message exchanges a couple of years ago. Found via the SEARCH engine using "wheel well":

..There is actually a TSB some where for them to be placed on the 03-04 trucks that come in with pre-mature brake problems. It's GM product. Apparently they feel that by adding them the wear on the rear brakes is reduced. I had a link to the site but it doesn't work anymore...do some searches I'm sure you'll find it...
