Vehicle drives on angle

The other day my father-in-law was following me and he noticed that my Suburban was driving on an angle. The rear end was slightly off to the right of the front end. It isn't something I noticed while driving. It seems to drive straight from the drivers seat. Anyone know how this can be fixed so that the rear end tracks properly? Does this cause excessive wear on any drivetrain parts?

Usually it's a sign that the truck has had some previous accident damage that wasn't completly repaired. A 4-wheel alignment can hopefully fix the problem...

On the other hand I can't tell you how many people I know that have nice older K10 Blazers that drive like a dream, but look crooked going down the road. Maybe the rear axle has shifted a little... I really don't know.

According to the Carfax report I got when I bought it, there were no accidents. That's not to say the rear end was pushed over somehow. I'm just wondering how easily the rear end can be moved back so it's alligned.

"Dog Tracking" ususally means accident or poor suspension lift (either the kit itself of the installation).

Take to a good frame shop and have them check it out against the spec sheet. Newer frame machines use lasers instead of tape measure.

Could be broken pin in the leaf spring pack to axle housing perch. Dangerous if this is the case. I've seen a buddy toss that pin when putting in a lift block that didn't have a hole in the block. He said not needed and I never rode in his truck again.

Bent frame, leaf spring pin, leaf spring shackles, bent axle flange, etc are just "some" of the potential causes.
