Took my SSS into ASC in Paramount, Ca. to get my moonroof installed today. In at 8:00am and out by 4:30pm. Total price was almost $1300.00 which included mounting the switch in a hidden location. Here are the pics, sorry the truck is a little dirty!

Here is where I had them mount the switch. In the center console, on the rear edge. ASC would have mounted it in the center of the map light console. I didn't want that, I wanted to be the only one to control it and I wanted it hidden.

On the top of the switch is the tilt mode, in the center is close, and on the bottom is open. It also closes when the key is removed. It can be opened to the position where it previously was before turning the truck off, just by touching one of those buttons. It is a very nice unit.

I'll get more pics of it closed and the illuminated switch after I wash it.

That's really nice...the vehicle that I drive at work has a sunroof and I'm starting to get attached to it (startin to need sunblock too!) I like that you mounted the switch somewhere different. Looks good!

Very nice...I would to have a moon roof installed in my truck, but probably never will.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Really want one, but there's too many other mods I want to make even more and not enough money even to cover all of those.

That is a great looking install. Who makes the unit? Do they have any that open to the outside? I want to add one to my Burb, but the rear AC controls would be in the way if it opened to the inside.

Alex, when it is openned 100% do you get a strange vibration . When it closed about 4 inches it is quiet.

Love it when the sun is shining in when it is frezzing out.

I like better then a factory because this sides into the roof, factor sides on top of the roof

Also why do some call a moonroof while others call a sunroof?

Same here. But I thought the factory roofs in the '05 trucks were moonroof (slide in / under)? I guess I can stop wishing I'd waited a few months to get one with the roof then, because I don't especially care for the slide-over style, but I really liked the moonroof that was in the Trailblazer.
