Notice anything odd about this truck?

I was just looking back for this RCSB SS concept cause my buddy wants this shifter..anyways I noticed something about the truck that didn't "match" that I never noticed before. Rubber floor, Ugly Front end look, ugly looking taillights, other then that it's ok.

that was the GM concept for 03 that was built off of an 02 W/T. It was also 2wd.

 

starting March 7th the SS is now avail in 2wd and the AWD will be discontinued for 06

It also has the Tahoe/Suburban type coil spring rear suspension. I like that shifter!

yeah it was that the outside is an 03 and the inside an 02. just thought it was kinda odd and wondered why I didn't notice it back then. I kinda like the idea of a stripper SS. You can alway add recaro racing seats. It's also got power windows/ locks and to me that's a necessity.

 

and that shifter is pretty close to the seat. In Regular five speed models the shifter goes into the tranny much further towards the front of the floor.

thats because the 6 seed is a longer trans usually found in the Vette, T/A, and Camaros

hot rod was trying like crazy to get gm to build that truck, i wanted to be one of the first in line at the dealer to get mine, I loved the idea of a stripper from gm that was actually cool. 6 spd = mpg, stripper = low weight, just a sweet idea that would have a lot of people happy and a lot a sweet trucks out there.

 

don't want to offend anyone but it severely pissed me off when they turned it into the grandpa truck w/ leather everything, auto, awd, etc etc. I saw that as their fatal turn towards really sh!tty management decisions and stupid designs.

what about that rear suspension, i wonder how it rides. I've always tossed the idea of a tahoe rear end in my truck

Chevrolet is good for that. I just know that if/when the new Camaro comes out, the only way to get a fast one will be to have to get all that goo gaw stuff. Leather mirrors, heated radio dials, power ashtray, etc. I want one with the big V-8, 6 spd, A/C and cruise. I could probably live without the cruise control.

Yeah, there's the din-and-a-half radio. Definitely a 2002 (or earlier) interior. 2003 and later have the double din radio.
