The LS-1 engine architecture in the trucks and Vettes are pretty much the same motors, right? Has anyone tried installing the Vette valve / engine covers on their truck's engine? Will they fit?

i don't believe they will. as far as i know the intake on the trucks is a problem. the architecture being the same only makes the long block similar. i've heard of someone trying this on another board and it didn't work for him although i didn't watch the post enough to find out why.

Do they make ssuch an animal? The SS's I've sseen have only have the Vortec 6.0 intake cover.

Yep, im retarded. I wasnt paying much attention. I went out and pulled the ones I bought out of the boxes and it has 6000 in small letters. My bad!!!

Many of us who own/race Corvettes remove those covers for they trap heat into the fuel rail, injectors and coils

Also when engine is 1st turned off the heat builds up and cooks what gas was left in injectors leaving deposits.

Only what we call Wazers leave those on.

I did take the insulation crap off my covers. May not even use them. I sent off a set of valve covers to be chromed. Dont want to cover them up with anything.
