Class II Data

In swapping non-lux for a Y-91 Lux amp along with a lux INR Nav unit. Will I need to run class II data wire from PIN A1 at the radio harness to the PIN B10 position of the AMP harness??? My 04 Crew Cab 2500HD has the door chime coming through the speaker on the drivers door. I read somewhere that if the chimes come through the speakers that I already have the Class II Data in place.

hmmm. Class II is not a function of the stereo option, but the vehicle year group. You are class II, since 03.

Yes, you will need to run this wire. Easier yet, is to substitute the (pink) "radio on" wire from B11 (at the AMP harness) and B3 (radio harness). Since you will not need this wire any longer (as it will be obsolete once the wiring changes are made), you can use this wire as your new "Class II" wire. Just remove it at both ends from the radio harness and AMP harness and re-insert them into the new pin positions at A1 (radio harness) and B10 (AMP harness). Now there is no need to run that wire through the console.

Dont forget to make the other wiring changes outlined in document in the other thread in order to get that NAV working properly.
