Northeast Get-Together Reminder...May 14th!

Hey folks, mcreyaufmillar and I were just takin about the get-together to see who's still on board. Gonna be Sat May 14 at Valley Forge in PA...just a few weeks away! I can taste the burgers already!

So let's hear from ya's!!!

I will be in the park around 8:00 AM or so to find the perfect spot. I will bring my grill, some burgers dogs and such, but we will need other people to bring other stuff (condiments, rolls, drinks, etc.) Make sure your truck is clean, we will be showing them off to our friends here at the board. I will bring my camera to take pictures. We cannot reserve a space at the park, so again, I will get there early to take one. I will talk to a friend of mine and ty to get a tent and table and suce as well. This will all take place at Valley Forge Park located in Valley Forge PA:

GUYS.....IMO:......I think a meet up at chain resturant

(hooters, chilis, etc) is a better idea with a hotel or 2 nearby.

It will also draw MORE folks!

Plus you can bring the old ball and chain on a little honeymoon

road trip and score MAJOR brownie points.

After a long road trip. Setting up a BBQ and cooking then cleaning

up is a PIA.

Another site I belong to http://www.letstalksnow.com/forums we have

several meet and greets a year in this method.

Less legwork means MORE attendence and a HECK of a swell time !

I would love to attend and I don't mean to hi-jack this thread......................Opinions ?.....................geo

I'd be happy either way...just lookin forward to meetin everybody and checkin out some cool trucks. Seems like a bunch of folks were happy with the Valley Forge idea a few months back, then everybody kinda got buzy and it hasn't been mentioned much. It's kinda cool that Valley Forge is a historic place with stuff to see, especially if the weather's nice. But if a chain restaurant would work better for most, I'd do that too....whatever's best for everybody!

TOM..................NJ boy huh ? I have family in Collinswood NJ across from Philly and get down there a lot ! 4 hour trip 4 me.

Last fall us Plowheads from NJ and PA got together at Hooters for the evening near Philly and had a rippin' time !!!! Must of been 50 of us !

All stayed at nearby hotels.................Boozin' and crusin' is not a

good thing nowadaze

We put this out to the board several months ago, the suggestions were: Valley Forge, Carlisle, and Gettysburg. The overwhelming decision was Valley forge. This will give us a quiet place to talk and also to show trucks. We will grill some dogs and anything else you want to throw in. There are a lot of Hotels within a few miles of the park if anyone wishes to stay overnight, but is this is going to be changed, we need to make up our minds now, it is only a few weeks away.

MC.....................King of Prussia Hooters off I-76 on DeKalb

Pike is only 9 miles from Valley Forge park. Plus there are

quite a few hotels there also.

The park cops tend to be A******S at mass gatherings esp.

when booze and tunes are involved.

I own a motel along the US-Canadian Border and see a LOT

of GESTAPO tactics from the park cops.

NY foolishly enabled them the same enforcement rules inside

or out of the NY state parks a couple years back.

Instead of enforcing park rules INSIDE the parks near me

the SOBs sit out on the main roads bagging foks for speeding,

DWI, etc.......

Then have the nerve to sit IN TOWN to do the town cops job !

Sheesh!!!!!!!!! Rant off now...........................

Wherever ya have it thats cool with me.

Is there water there ? Would like to bring my Jet-ski !

I can score a motel nearby with the Hooters and other joints

across the street to party at later!

Then head to Collinswood and AC for a few days too and see

family !

Your making my mouth water with thoughts of those burgers and hot dogs on the grill. I'm going to see if I can make it but I'm in the process of having a house built. That will be around the time where all of the detail work will need to be done so I might have to be around here.

I am thinking that the park will be good, we have permission to be there, they are expecting us, I like the idea of going to Hooters or somewhere after for some fun and a few drinks!
