hey guys :P

i got my lift on my truck about 2 months ago and i just started noticing a werid noise... i have a manual trans.. and when im riding in 2nd gear going about 40 mph my truck shacks.. like im sitting there and it feels like im going over the speed things on the highway.. Can you all help. (i hope its nots the lift) :lol:

How much did you lift it? It sounds like drive line/Ujoint vibration.

With 6 inches you are likely running into pinoin Ujoint angle bind as it turns (Ujoints are not constant velocity across them as they flex) cause a noise/vibration. You could try shimmimg the rear axle so the pinion angle at dtive shaft conection is less (they make angled wedges to put in between spring pads and springs) and that should help. Also with a 6 inch lift I would get a front drive shaft with CV's in it not Ujoints because it can make noise/vibrate too under load flexing at the angle it is running at. If you are running stock gearing with big rubber your are making it even worse becuase of higher drive shaft torque required to move and cruise truck. You are kinda learning the hard way the lifts are not always bolt ons that are trouble free. When you get above 4 inchs or so you have to tweak a lot of things to make it play well sometimes.
