Ok Guys and Gals,

Like i said about my truck i have 3/4 ton rear springs and running gear back there.. Now for some reason people say this is BS but I would like a answer on this. My truck seems to stick to the road alot better than the same truck as mine but with factory 1/2 susp. Does the 3/4 actually apply more force to the ground? Is this why it takes alot more to break my tires loose. Is this why i dont get stuck going LAST in sloppy mud while everyone else is slippin and i just stick? If this is just BS and more than likely Driver not truck let me know. But I would like to know anything I can.. that way i can put 3/4 ton front gear on  :)

You should be able to tell by how many leaf springs are in the pack my 1/2 ton has *runs outside to look* three.  If you're looking for 3/4 ton torsion bars for the front go to my site, I have part numbers for the different torque rated T-bars.

Well, the 3/4 ton rear end and spring setup is heavier than a 1/2, so it will apply a little more weight to the ground.

You didn't mention gears, but that may have more to do with it than weight. A higher gear (say 3.73 vs 3.42) will hook up a little quicker.

gearing and locking rear diff would make the biggest difference off road.  If you have an extra leaf or two it would add a small amount of weight (ie. traction) but that would be minimal.  On road I think it would reduce body roll and keep the rears planted more firmly.
