50white50 Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I am considering changing original wheels from a 96 Tahoe to a newer set of wheels/tires from 03/04 Tahoe purchased on ebay. What are the differences(measurement, lugs, etc) in these wheels and can this work??? Are they interchangeable??? Do I need to check with a dealer??? ANY and ALL input welcome.
hihosilverado Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Not sure which way you are going.....new onto old or old onto new. The wheels from an 03 will work fine on an 96, pretty much the same measurements, except they may stick out a little further. But 96 wheels would not work on a NBS truck.
Wingnut Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Yeah, if the 96 is a 4x4 they will bolt right up. If it's 2wd, it only has a 5 lug pattern and the newer body style wheels will not fit. Click on the '92 in my sig to see basically what it will look like.
50white50 Posted May 3, 2005 Author Posted May 3, 2005 Thanks for the info...my 96 is 4WD so I am looking forward to the new wheels. Thanks again for your input!
