Wester's Tune Installed

Recommended Posts

Last week I received my PCM from Wester's. I am really impressed. I do not have a DYNO so I can not attest to horsepower or torque gains. However, I can tell you that my seat of the pants DYNO is happy. Definitely a 500% driveability improvement. My wife seldom drives my truck and she could tell a big difference when she took it for a spin. All I can say is that was money well spent.

Welcome to the world of Westers. I too agree in the driveability increase. I haven't let my wife drive mine since I got the tune, but I think she'll agree that it was worth the $ :driving:

 Been reading for a while about the Wester's tune! I have a 2002 CC, with the 8.1/Allison, 4X4. Has 47K on it. I'm fairly mechanically inclined and try to do all I can. My MPG is 11-12 all the time. What does the Wester's cost and can I do it myself? Also, how do you buy it, online or at a parts store? I need more MPG for sure. Any help is appreciated!

Westers is a complete PCM changeout, but not difficult. I belive they will run about $530, at least that was for my 2004. 2002 may be less. You tell them what you are looking for as far as performance etc. and they will custom tune a PCM and ship it out to you. I myself looked really hard at Westers, but after weighing all the options I chose a hand held programmer so I can change settings myself. If you do a search for Westers Garage, you will find more information than I can give you. Either way you go I think you will be pleased with the performance you get over factory.

FlaMan, a tune for your truck is $495 list. These tunes give ridiculous results !!! Drivability, performance, economy- all are night-and-day differences !!! It's amazing how strangled these things come from the factory :D

Install is a snap- maybe 10 minutes your first time !!

There are a few ways to order them, the best route is to go thru one of the authorized reps. They can help make sure your order is perfect
