Installing a power inverter? Good tap?

Im installing a power inverter in my 2002 sierra. What is the best place for me to tap into to get proper 12v that is sufficient for a power inverter? Its only a 90w inverter so it wont need to be all to strong. Im interested in having it turn on and off when the car does. Give me specifics like colors and location. Thanks. :seeya:

My truck has a red terminal block where the battery and alt come together. Use that or the battery terminal. Use number 8 wire. I would typically not use a live wire in the cab, the size of thos wires is insufficient for multiple jobs.

Theres a Position in the Fuse Panel that is a Ign lead that is typically not used. You can find it with a DMM and it might also be labeled. Test by cycling the IGN key.

Once you find it, you can connect a relay to it for your power turn on to the Inverter. If its only 90w, you can tap off the ACC power, if its power i would suggest direct to the battery.
