Front hub bearing

Is it possible to replace the bearing and seal on the front hub of a 99 4wd rather than the whole unit?If a person was resourceful enough to find a replacement bearing how hard a job would it be to remove the old one?Just curious,I had to change one allready and thought about this since.

Well, they get the bearing in there, it isn't manufactured in place. So I guess replacing just the bearing might be possible. Don't know if it'd be worth the effort.

I MIGHT BE HARD TO FIND THE RIGHT BREARINGS FOR IT, THEN YOU HAVE TO PRESS OUT THE OLD ONES OUT AND PRESS THE NEW IN...JUST SAME YOUR SELF THE TROUBBLE AND BY THE ASSEMBLY. ADVANCE AUTO HAS THEM FOR ABOUT 150.00-185.00 IT'S BETTER THEN GM PRICE AT 357.00

The one I just replaced cost me $280 Canadian,and that was with a discount,from my local auto parts store!!
