Avalanche Oil Light

I just had the oil changed on our Avalanche, and the oil light is still on.  Is this resettable or what?

Turn the key into the "on or run" position without starting your truck.  Press the gas peddle hard to the floor three times in five seconds, and then shut off the ignition.  If this doesn't work, try it again.  Sometimes it takes more than one try...  it should explain it more in the manual.

That's a new one on me.....you say it is in the owners manual?

If you had an oil change place do the work, they should have asked you if you knew how to reset the light.  I've used three different places with my last two trucks that had the light, and all of them ask me each time.  To me, it shows that they know something about the trucks they are working on.
