GOT MY 05 2500 HD YESTERDAY

After reading for a while, I got my 05 2500hd cc lwb 6.0 yesterday. Drove it home about 150 miles,varied the speeds. Computer avg. with ac, speed avg,75, got 11.4mpg to start. If it keeps getting better from here, looks like I got a good one.I have read where some people got 8-9 mpg to start. thanx for all opinions,that made my decision to get this truck. At the employee pricing plus rebate I couldnt not get it.

Yeah, these 6.0s are TIGHT engines. I really feel mine didn't break-in completely till around 10k miles !!!!!

 

11.4 ain't bad at all for brand new.

All I get in city driving is 8-9 mpg... and I do about 95% city driving.

Sounds like you got a nice truck there....good luck with it.
