98 Z71

On my '98 Silverado Z71, if left sit overnite or longer, there is a slight pecking noise when first started. It is barely noticeable unless you stand outside the truck, nest to the front of the truck. It only does it for about a minute or so then quits, and only if it is left sitting overnite or longer. Any advise or information???
