Something we started a couple of years ago here that we'll keep going. If you're interested, pm me for league name and password.

You must be able to be at your computer for about an hour on August 24 at 8:30 edt for a live draft. We autoed the first year because no one would commit to a time and date for a live and we had a bunch of complaints. Also, make sure you go over the league settings and draft accordingly so you will be more apt to be prepared for what kind of league it is.

Playoffs will be weeks 15 & 16 and will be limited to the top 4 teams to try and avoid teams sitting key players for our championship. Leauge is limited to 10 teams, 2 are already taken so get in while the getting is good!

Well if Mark signs up, it will be 7 so we'd only have 3 spots left open.

Also, in case anyone is wondering why the draft is set as far off as it is, this is to try and prevent some high selections being unavailable due to late pre-season injuries. This would make it easier to get around that.

I sent the PM.

Seems like we had some trouble last year getting enough people too. Hope we get a better turn out this year.

Well when you sign up it'll make 8 so that's a decent league. There are still 2 spots open though just in case.

Almost that time guys. I enjoy the hell out of it every year. :chevy:

I think we should try out Fox Sports new FFB site. Looks pretty snazzy....and free too!

Turn up the volume on this: Fox Fantasy Football

If that doesn't get your blood pumping, then you shouldn't be in this thread!

It has a live draft as well. Yahoo is getting boring and bland. Maybe we can give this a shot? Whaddya think?

Start another one and see if you can get it going. The main reason I didn't go with Fox Sports is that I was in a fantasy league through them 3 years ago and their site was sloooooooooooooooooow throughout the game day which made it almost impossible to substitute players before games due to late reported injuries.

Besides, how can a league be more boring that another? It's Fantasy Football regardless of which site it's on.

NFL.com is offering free fanatasy football as well this year. I used them last year as well as Yahoo, and theirs was pretty good actually...pretty quick on their updates.

Fox appears to have a lot more bells and whistles compared to the vanilla Yahoo site. Better stat breakdown too. I also like the feature of realtime scoring and other variations of such. Waiting until Monday morning for scores on Yahoo (I don't pay) ticks me off. I'll play the Yahoo league, but I just think there may be better options out there.

There's 2 spots left and they both need to be filled because we can't have a draft with an odd number of teams.

I'll PM the info to you so you can join up and I'm not positive but I think spot 10 might be taken by an offline friend of Zep's.

Live draft is tonight, 8:30 edt/7:30cdt. Make sure the machine that you'll be on is capable of taking part in the draft. You can check by going to the main league page and selecting the test option toward the left side of the page.

    • Even tougher is the 5.0 / 302. That's what this one has.    https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   https://postimg.cc/4n3F3yzY   Just realized I had the airbox removed in the engine pic, lol.
    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
