Stock exhaust diameter?

After checking around at different muffler shops in my area, I get the feeling someone's trying to rip me off. Every shop is telling me it'll be $300 - $650 to add a magnaflow 18" single in to dual out. So I figure I'll just order the parts online and then pay a shop to weld it in. Does anyone know what inlet diameter I should order? I have a 2005 1500, is this 3" or 2.5" on the stock piping? Thanks!

I thought they were 3" in 2.5" out x2.
