Tonneau Covers

I am new to this group and hope to get some help. My 04 2500HD Duramax/Allison is almost a year old and I love it! I have been looking for a tonneau cover that will fit my 8 ft box but I have a Weather Guard tool box on. I don't want the kind with the snaps but works like a zip lock bag. Places around me are no help, they say I will have to find a shop to cut and sew a cover. I was hoping some one could help me!!

So your wanting a cover that works with your toolbox? Is it a over the rail box? Will a short bed cover fit right? I'm kinda confused. If this is a over the rail box, the tonneau will not seal the bed anyway.

Access Cover makes the perfect cover to fit your application. They are also a sponsor of this website. Access Covers Toolbox Edition

I am on my 3rd one with 3 different trucks and love them. I think there happens to be one for sale used in the For Sale section as well. Access Cover Tool Box Edition For Sale

Good Luck, you will not be disappointed with an Access Cover. Any questions just ask. Very familiar with the product and friend runs the tool box edition and is very happy. They actually seal very well and lock.

Yep it's an over the rail toolbox. I know it will not seal the bed, I guess I want it for looks and to provide some protection.

Thank you I will check it out!

I looked into these as well. My problem is that I have the largest tool box weather guard makes(model 117 which is 28" deep), and all the manufactures who make the covers are for the shorter tool boxes (24" deep boxes). Every one I contacted stated they would have to make a custom one... and with custom comes high $$$....

I was looking at the access cover the other day and think it could be easily shortened. I would just buy tool box edition for the 24" toolbox and take 4 inches off myself. Cut the rails back 4", take 4 inches off the cover itself. With the way they are made it is easily done. I bet it would 30 minutes and still look factory. JMO :chevy:
