Feul Pressure

2000 Silverado 5.3, 125K road miles. Pump began to whine around 80K. used a gauge to check my feul pressure at the schrader valve off the fuel rail. I was told that all i needed to do was once I hooked it up turn the key on, off , and back on. I did this and got 58 psi steady. If i would have cranked the engine and let it idle would i see the same psi? Is this pressure sufficent?

Specs call for 55-62 psi with the key on and the PUMP (not the engine) running. You'll see lower than 58 psi with the engine running because vacuum acting on the regulator would lower pressure.
