Brake problems

OK, here it 'tis. I noticed that I have to push the peddle aways to get any type of braking. Plus, when I am going down a say an highway off-ramp and hit a bump I lose the brakes for a second then they come back. In other words the peddle will go to the floor with nothing happening. Then a second later the rear brakes lock up. I have bleed the system and filled it with  brake fluid. Could my master cyclinder be going on me? Or would it be in the lines them selves? Or maybe a vaccum problem? Its going into the dealer next week to be looked at. But, I want to have an idea of what might be wrong with it first.

When you bled the brakes did you use a power brake bleeder or the old traditional method of pumping them up and then loosening the bleeder screw.

I had a vehicle once that the only way I could get a firm peddle was to finally have them bled with a power bleeder.

I did it the old fashion way. I'll see what the dealer says next week. Im not to worried about. I get to drive my dads Cj-7 until my truck gets fixed

I'm racking my brain to figure out the relation to bumps and brake pedal, but coming up blank. I suspect something in the front which is faulty, causing the front to fail and rears to lock. Does it have a load sensing module on the rear which adjusts the amount of brake pressure front to rear? Or has it been going through brake fluid? Post and let us know when they discover the problem. If it is sensing a bump as a load, and there is a module on the rear suspension which controls the amount of braking front to rear, that may be it. That's the only thing I can think of based on that scenario.
