wait4meperformance pcm installed $157.70

Well guys the new PCM from WAIT4MEPERFORMANCE.COM has been installed this morning in my truck. I've not bought a modification for any truck that I've own that you could feel so much difference for such little money. I kept my old PCM and it cost me a total of $157.70. Here is what I can tell from it.

First off you can tell the tq/management is removed along with the driveline abuse. When going 25-30 I can floor it and start turning over the tires. Getting on the interstate there is a huge difference. Takes a lot less gas pedal to get up to speed. I also noticed that at 75mph my tach was about 100-150 rpms less. I guess that's one way he gets better mileage out of the tunes. I caught a break in traffic at one spot and nailed it from 75, let me say that all the way to 100+mph it was fast. I don't know how fast I was going. I have 3.73 gears and it still had plenty of rpms left to go before shifting into 4th. I had the shifts bumped up to 5800rpm and the shifts a little more firm under acceleration. I left the tow/haul alone because I tow a lot from time to time. During idle I can tell it's a lot smoother and revs so much faster. It made the truck feel much more sporty when you have it at WOT. When it shifts now it will through you back in the seat. I don't know what rwhp is but flywheel I'm pushing about 350 with mods I've done. Time to line up to one of those dodges now. I could hang pretty good before. I think I could take one now. I've only put about 70 miles on this tune. I've heard that it only gets better from there. Definately worth investing your money in. Jesse Bubb was very nice to work with over the phone. Wait4moreperformance comes well recommended from me. It only took about 5-10 minutes to install. No codes or anything neither. :D:chevy::)

So how does it work?  DO you send them your ccomputer for them to retune or do you send it back as a core?

your options:

1) you send $ 150.00 (plus $ 7.70 S&H) Jesse sends you a custom programmed PCM from his inventory (you keep your stock PCM for future use)

2) you send $ 75.00 (plus $ 7.70 S&H) AND your own PCM jesse installs the custom tune in your own PCM and returns it back to you

Best way to get details on a custom tune that is best for your needs is to call Jesse direct.

another option:

3) ON SITE installed custom tune. If you live near Warsaw, In. visit Jesse and he will install a custom tune directly into your PCM while still installed on your truck. Then drive and tweek the settings even better. Still only $ 75.00 since you keep your stock PCM

100r1 is correct on the process. I kept my pcm incase i needed to use my truck while it was gone. Now I can also have a spare so if I change my mods on the motor I can send it back and have it tuned for the new mods and not be down any time.

1st off wingnut it is possible to drop the rpm's just by tuning it. As 2004GMC1500CC said about the tire size. I bought my truck used so I don't know what size it had on it from factory and now it has 265's. It is possible that it had 245s on it, therefore the tune would have corrected the shift points and so on.

It might have adjusted the speedo, but that doesn't effect the tachometer or any other gear ratio. The engine still turns the same revolutions. His speed is corrected not engine rpm's. He is traveling slower than before the tune not dropping rpm's (at 75 mph). The speedometer's speed is relative to the tune. If he increased the rpm's to where it was before the tune his speed would be the same regardless of what the speedometer says since it has been re-calibrated. How can a tune drop rpm's, it would have to be changed through the torque converter or transmission controls. The engine still turns the same amount as before, which in turn causes the transmission to turn the same and... so on to the rear tires.

Thanks asilverblazer you hit it dead on the head of what I was meaning in my post. I was short on time this week trying to convert my sleeping patterns to night shift. bob1527 hit the nail on the head for the spelling correction. My speedo always was a little off according to the radars I pass at construction zones.

I put another few miles on the truck today though. All and all the tune has helped the power throughout the rpm range. You definately have to watch it on a rainy day as I found out today. It spins much easy if you're not careful when getting on the fuel. I noticed that my exhaust sounds a bit throatier also. I guess it could be from the added hp under acceleration. Idle sounds the same just under throttle does it seem deeper in the cab.

 That's unpossible! :)

nothing is unpossible.... impossible on the other hand...

I spelled it exactly as I had intended. I don't spell things incorrectly on accident very often. :D

That's pretty much what I was hinting at.
