i think i have the bose system in my 2003 tahoe lt, (the speakers say bose on them) and i need to know if i can add sat radio with an aux input. i dont have factory xm installed and the radio has 6 disk in dash changer. i have a button on front that says cd/aux on it. ive been told by one radio store that there is a $150 cable that i can use for sat radio into the aux input. another store says fm modulation is my only option on that radio. who is right? this is for sirius by the way. thanks.

check with your dealer. I know they sell the XM upgrade. They may also have a Sirius direct connect as well.

Look at the back of your radio and see if there is a 12 pin plug on it. I am pretty sure there should be one. If there is you can use this: GM12-AUX My truck came with XM and I added this to it so I could get a DVD player added to the sound. Hope this helps....

You can also split that signal if you ever want to add another source to your HU, with this interface.

I have a 2003 Burb LT and my setup is 6cd HU with no XM or RSE. I added a DELPHI XM unit that uses FM modulation and hate it. Since then which was only two weeks ago I have done considerable research and have come up with the following.

You can convert your nonlux 6CD HU to be a XM player by adding a module to the back of the radio that GM Parts Direct sales. It is 343 bucks after tax and will give you full up XM thru your factor HU. This is what I have just orderd and will let you know if it works out like I think it will.

Or you could use the GM-AUX listed above, and have a portabe XM unit that you can take into the house, out on the boat, etc... It uses that same input as the GM module.
