Question on Transgo Kit

Got a '98 Yukon that I tow 2-3 snowmobiles with in an enclosed 18' trailer every weekend from Thanksgiving to mid April. With my 3.42 gears its working the trans really hard in mtns. I installed a B&M shift + switch in to firm up shifts last winter. It plugs into trans wiring and basically firms up shifts by adding resistence to wires. There are 3 levels of shift firmness, stock, firm, and firmer. It helped a lot but don't think it solves all the problems, sometimes when pushed hard I can smell tranny fluid burning a little. :D

Question is I believe a transgo kit will help solve the problem, right?? Also would/could I use the B&M Shift + switch along with the kit or toss it out??

I know one of obvious cures is lower gears, but not in budget right now. Anyone think a little more power with an exhaust or air intake would help it hold a higher gear longer on the long grades????

It sounds like you could benefit from a custom tune to remap your tranny for the towing. The Transgo shift kit may help a little and should be compatable with the B&M unit, I did the transgo kit to correct a slippage code on my truck and it does shift better. That is about all I know right now.
