2000 silverado Z71 - thud...thud.....thud

Im getting some kind of thud or thump noise coming what seems to be the rear end.........it has to do with something rotating and is really noticable when driving slow near a barrier or wall and my foot just lightly on the throttle............if I take my foot off the throttle its not as bad.

its definately something rotating cause the noise is a thud....thud.....thud....thud sound. Sorry im not very good at making the exact noise via email.

Ive read up on the slip yoke issue these trucks have but im wondering if the problem with the slip yoke had these symptons?

Any help would surely be appreciated. :D

Since it seems to happen with slight throttle, i.e. torque applied, I be suspicious of U-Joints. Crawl under and look a the u-Joints...grab drive shaft and push up-n-down and try and twist.

If there is any significant play your Ujoints are shot....replace them both when you replace them.
