Sierra Denali high speed vibration?

Recommended Posts

I am new to this forum and I can't seem to search past threads. So I am wondering if anyone else has this problem:

I recently purchased an 03 Sierra Denali and while briefly exceeding the posted limit (80-85), I noticed a drive train vibration. Not engine or wheels, but higher pitched like something was out of sync in the AWD.

I am being told by the GMC dealer that this is "Normal". How can that be?

And if anyone can give me some tips on searching the forums, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks, and I love my Denali (except for this little issue)!!!

I've had my C3 well over 130 and know a few guys with SD's that have been in the same range. I get a slight vibration around 90-95 that goes away by 100 or so. Could be one of your driveshafts is out of balance? Otherwise it may be an axle or transfer case issue. If you'd like to know more about your truck...you can find info at denalitrucks.com. There is a documents section as well as a forum... and lots of C3, Yukon Denali, and Sierra Denali owners.

my friend also has an 03 denali and it has the same vibration around 80-90. he had the tires re ballanced and it cleared up a lot but it is not completely gone. does yours have quadra steer?

just wondering if that could have anything to do with it??
