Behind the Console

I picked up my '05 Sierra Extended Cab Z-71 last week and absolutely love it!! I was in a '98 Sierra Extended Cab Z-71 before I screwed up last year and moved DOWN to a Colorado Crew Cab Z-71. Never was happy, but now I'm back where I belong!!!

 

My question is this. I'm looking to determine where I want to install my CB radio in the new truck. The large rectangular slot on the front portion of the console is about the right size, but I don't have a clue as to what is behind it. Before I go tearing into my new truck, has anybody "been there, done that??"

There is not much behind there, it is about 7 inches deep. That is where the 6 disc changer would mount. There is some plastic back there that could be cut away it you need more room.

That bezel just pulls straight out if you want to take a look.
