1997 vortec 454 crank sensor

is there any type of a relearn procedure that needs to be fallowed when this is replaced ? also does this engine have a cam sensor and if so where is it at and is there any relearn for that ? thanks for any help.

Crankshaft variation relearn should be performed after replacing the crank sensor. I've seen 'em replaced where this was not done and nothing terrible happened as a result. The PCM may not pickup a misfire or maybe it will.

 

Cam sensor is in the distributor. There's no cam relearn procedure like with the crank sensor.

You need a scanner capable of doing this. There's no "manual" procedure you can do without a scanner.
