CdnChevy Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Hey everyone, Have 2004 Chevy 2500 and in the last few weeks that annoying door chime of rock and roll volume level suddenly goes very very quiet. Its kind of nice actually but clearly not supposed to do that. If I turn the truck off and then on its its normal annoying self. It may be fine for a week or more then all of a sudden its quiet again till a power cycle of the truck? Any ideas on what this might be?
sonjaab Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 CDN............Remember the chimes come thru the radio on 03 and up GM trucks. Check your owners manual. It will tell you of 2 settings loud or soft and how to change them............. Try that first.......................geo
CdnChevy Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 Thanks for the input but its not that. I know you can change from loud to normal, this is almost dead silent, then a power cycle of the truck sets it back to its annoying self. It will do it randomly.
Superman TNT Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I wish mine would go silent. I hate that stupid thing. In all my old trucks it was a little gray module which I quickly removed right after leaving the dealers lot. I'll have to read my owners manual and see if there is an option to turn the stupid thing OFF. TNT
