Rear Diff.

My truck is a 2000 chevy 1500 and has 3.42 gears and is a open diff. Would it have 30-Spline Axle and 8.50'' Ring Gear?

You do have the 30 spline axle shafts, but your exact Ring Gear is 8.625". Aftermarket 8.5" gears will work if you upgrade. An 8.5" differential will work, but you must get carrier bearings that wil fit the smaller carrier in the newer axle.

I am thinking of getting the Eaton Posi for my truck. So i would just need carrier bearings with it then to fit my ring gears?

When you specify the year of your truck, the correct bearings will be included so it will fit the axle. Your old ring gear or a new ring gear (if you plan to change to change the ring gear and pinion) will easily bolt on and install.
