Fort Wayne assembly plant / line

Hi Is there any members who work on the fort wayne assemble line Im just ordered my new reg cab 1500 silverado 4X4 and had a few ????? PM me if you work the line thanks kdm004

KDM............There is a member "flykelly" that posts here and at plowsite.com. He works at that plant.

 

BUT.........Pretty sure that plant only assembles 2500/3500 and the bigger trucks.........................geo

The FT wayne plant makes the 1500s only. I have been by the plant a few times and they have a few trucks as display on the outside. Also my truck was built there in April 2000.

Don't know specifically what trucks they build there, but, I know my 97 GMC C1500 is from there... atleast the door tells me so. Its pretty cool to drive by there too, seeing I live only an hour or so away.

Mine is an 04 2500(LD) Silverado and has a Fort Wayne assembly sticker on the door.

Fort Wayne only builds LD PU's all HD's are built in Flint and MD in Pontiac & Oshawa.

My 1500 was built in Pontiac. But it is an odd one:

8 foot bed

Bench

NO XM

Power Folding Mirrors, steering wheel controls, etc...

My 2005 Regular Cab W/T has the Fort Wayne sticker in the door
