Shocks and wheels and nude chics

Hey guys, I was woundering. How can i improven street handaling on my 97 tahoe. I have a extra set of 16inch rims.. can i put a nice set of road tires on these that will look half decent?. I also would like better shocks, i like the way my car looks now as far as height, is there any after market shock that would help my car out as far as speed and cornering. I drove my dads 2002 subarban, and that thing handels a lot better then my tahoe,,, what gives?

If you are still running the stock shocks they are more than likely ready to be changed out. Check out the Edelbrock IAS shocks. I ran a set of them before and they do exactly what you are asking for...

Adding aftermarket (larger) swaybars to front and rear with polyurethane bushings will definitely help. How many miles are on the shocks? If more than 20-30k, a set of fresh ones will help. Unfortunately, the Tahoe with shorter wheelbase will have twitchier handling than the longer wheelbase 'Burban.

Ok guys this what im thinking of doing. Im going get Edelbrock IAS shocks first, maybe in the next month. Then by summer im going to get 21-2208 Hotchkis Sport Sway Bar Set. Maybe A set of 17inch rims, With some nitto's mounted on them. I want to keep my car looking nice, not sum ghetto'ed out G -Ride, So i dont want flashie rims. How do you think the New z74 17 rims would look, on a Black Tahoe sport? I dont like the escalade rims, Any adivce on After Market Rims that wont kill my bank account would be awsum,,, Thanks guys
