Ported MAF ends

Has anyone ported the MAF ends and noticed SOTP increase in tq/hp?

I plan on pulling the MAF screen this weekend and thought I might work on the MAF ends. :sideways:

I wouldn't do it. Generally, those that actaully dyno before and after find that it doesn't help. There are a lot of opinions on this and a lot of posts on this. Try searching through the forum for some of the more technical explanations. (as always, JMO).

Red pointed out to me that the article seems old and he believes that his tests show that de-screening is a good mod.

He also refers to 52 mm throttle bodies but we have 70 mm throttle bodies..So he is clearly speaking of a different motor..

The info is good and does help understand the process.. Porting worked well on the small 70 mm MAF of the ls1 but our trucks have an 80 mm
