hello i hope i can getsome help my87 willnot start without aquick squirt ofstarting fluid .but then runs fine until you shut her down then another shot to get her back going

Will it ever start if you crank and crank without spraying starting fluid in it? Do you see fuel spraying out of the injectors when cranking it?

 

Fuel pressure spec on these is like 10-13 psi if I recall correctly. Most run around 12 psi. I do recall that if they are running near minimum spec they'll be difficult to start but may run okay once started. So, a pressure check might be in order too.

 

And then of course there's the fuel pump relay. If they relay is not working, it won't start until enough oil pressure builds to turn on the pump via the oil pressure switch. It takes quite a bit of cranking before oil pressure builds.
