Lift Kits for 3500

Hello everyone, I am new to this board and still somewhat new to the truck scene. For the past few years I have been into cars (mainly imports) but I have always had a love for the trucks.

Well I am probably going to be buying my dads 1990 Silverado 3500 2WD here soon and I wanted to possibly put a 6" lift on there and some 35s. Well the problem is I have been looking at companies such as SkyJacker, Trailmaster, Pro Comp, but I have not seen any kits for my truck. I was wondering if they just don't make lifts kits for certain 2wd trucks, also wondering if I could possibly just take a kit from a similar truck and maybe try to alter it to fit mine? Also are there any other manifactures that I should check that make good quality kits.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

I followed your exact path to try and get my 2500 Suburban lifted. The hard part is all in the front. The rear is standard leaf spring so standard lift methods would work there. I would recommend spending a few extra bucks and have a spring shop curve your springs for you. The extra travel is well worth it.

In the front, things are tough. You are looking at all custom fab work. I had a spring shop make up custom 2" longer coil springs and put in an adjustable camber kit to compensate. It is O.K. but the geometry isn't really correct. I will eventually have a fabrication shop make up longer arms to get the geometry correct and get more lift. I know of no spindle lift kit for the 3/4 ton. This truck has been forsaken by the aftermarket industry.

If someone knows of another path, I think we would both like to know.

Thanks,
