service brakes message!!

i have a 2005 sierra 1500 crew cab w/5.3. the service brakes message comes on along w/brake and abs light. the problem is that i only have 7800 miles on the truck and i seriously doubt i need brakes already!! any idea on what might be going on?

Your brakes could be worn to the metal and no lights would come on. That's not what the warning lights/messages are for and not because your brakes are worn.

 

There's some sort of electrical problem in your ABS. It's under warranty, take it in.
