i have an chevy 3500Hd with the 5.7 and have been suffering a no start condition. i had just recently changed the fuel pump and it worked for a week then just couldn't start it. cranks good and fuel pressure is around 40psi and im getting spark, it trys to fire but then dies, just started getting a code P1351 ignition control circuit high voltage and was wondering what would be the next step in repair, has a full tank and 12.4 battery voltage and compression is 140psi +or - a few on all 8. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks for the time.

Your fuel pressure is WAY low. It should be at least 60 psi when you first turn the key on and the pump is running.

I've never run across that DTC before, so I don't know the specifics, but lets get the fuel pressure to a value that would allow the vehicle to start before you worry about that DTC being part of the problem.

thanks i retutned the pump and got a new one and the pressure is 60 psi now, looks like it was a bad pump, still no start though i found some tests for that dtc on mitchell and am going to try them tonight. will let you know.

Hey, I have been getting the P1351 code myself. My symptoms are hard to start... once started it works fine. Did you ever find out what was causing your problem...???? And how did you fix it?

Thanks.
