2000 GMC Yukon 4wd (new body style)

After seeing the new Tahoe yesterday at the dealership I am thinking seriously about selling my 2000 Yukon and getting a 2001-2002 Z71 Tahoe.

 

In 6 months the value of Yukon will decrease from what it is quicker because of the new Tahoe/Yukon coming out.

 

Z71 Tahoes have seemed hold their value better than regular Tahoes - which can be seen in 1999 and below Tahoes.

 

For true market value right now, what would a 2000 GMC Yukon 4wd SLT with leather, etc. just over 100k miles sell for on the market normally?

True market value depends upon a variety of factors, including your local area, vehicle history, appearance, repairs, etc....

 

To get a reasonable idea I have had good luck putting my vehicle data into Kelley Blue Book and also NADA. These sites allow you to put in some basic info about your vehicle and they will give you an approximate value or range. Keep in mind that the trade-in value these sites provide will be lower than a private party value because a dealership will have to go through the vehicle and prep it for sale, and still make a profit after that.

 

I usually start at both of those sites, and then go to autotrader.com or cars.com or similar sites to see what comparably equipped vehicles in my area are going for...

 

Ebay is also a source but if you want to sell/trade-in your vehicle locally then it may be harder to get a true local value from there. Search recent closed auctions for your vehicle and see what they're going for...also keep in mind that the final auction values on Ebay will be influenced by shipping costs, etc. so consider that when looking at Ebay auctions.

My parents where going to trade in there 2001 Yukon SLE 4x4 loaded 84,500 miles glossy paint really clean inside/out and they where only going to get $10,000 ! for the trade they passed and traded in my father 2003 dakota CC 360 25,300miles for 12,000. There is no market.

 

I this all happened before christmas.....
