Sounds bad, but then it might actually be *good*. Assuming the radio still lights up, it's probably toast. (Otherwise it might be just a fuse.)

Bag that factory radio. Get one from Alpine or Pionner with decent reception and knobs that won't have their paint peeling off in 2 years.

Sounds good, but I like the basic functions of the factory radio, and there is the steal me factor, I want something that is factory like, two din or something that doesn't look aftermarket installed.

I just noticed that my door chime is not working. how much are the 6 disc radios

You can trim the steal-me factor by buying a 2-year-old radio on ebay. I bought a 2003 model Pioneer new in box and it's not flashy enough to steal, and not flashy enough to embarass me either.

Check out my truck's radio by clicking on view vehicles on the left under my avatar. I used the double din to install 2 din radios. Looks close enough to factory for *me*.

Hey you two, they have this new theft-deterrent feature on head units called detachable face. It works, NO BS!
