Steering wheel letters

Ok. THis may sound a little stupid, but I REALLY think the "GMC" letters on the steering wheel of my new truck (06 GMC Sierra) look too plain.

Anyone ever thought of painting them? You just have the outline and would need to fill it in. Or, has anyone ever heard of some type of cover that makes the plain black steering wheel look better?

BTW, I was thinking a red would look good in the "GMC" and maybe white in the horn outlines.

Anyone ever done this or know how I would do it?

Thanks! :D

Use those "Paint Markers". I know people use them to bring out the lettering on dash emblems and different plastic covers underneath the hood. I can't remember who makes them. But you shake them up and its like paint, but you use it like a marker. I think Testes maybe makes them? (The people who make the little model paints). Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. Would the marker get down into the letters on the steering wheel?

I just use touchup paint from autoZone. Small brush is attached to the cap of the little bottle. 4-5 coats really shines. Also use it to decorate under the hood stuff. Don't add anything to that part of the wheel you wouldn't want embedded in your face if the air bag goes off.
