I am needing some input.

I am installing an Alpine 5 channel amp today.

I am going to use 2 Pac-35 modules. My question lies in where to tap the speaker lines, at the HU or at the factory Bose (non-lux) amp. If anyone can offer input it would be appreciated...wire color codes would help also.

All I can offer you is to get a different PAC Audio adapter. AOEM-GM24 I believe. Plugs in with the factory Bose and gives you two pre-outs for the amp(s) and a remote turn-on lead. Haven't gotten around to it yet myself, but this is the route I'm going when it warms up. Do a search on this too, lots of info in more detail has been discussed before. :dupe:

the correct part# is aoem-gm24. google search they are all over the internet. i have one in my truck and it works great. i have rear subs added only. turn off the base on your bose and install your subs and you will be impressed!!

Like lerbud04 said, type in "aoem-gm24" in the search bar for the net. They are all over. Mostly on e-bay that I've seen. Should be able to get it done and shipped for around $50 if I remember correctly.

lerbud04, can you tell me where exactly the module goes? Don't think I've ever seen how much dis-assembly is required for installing it. Thanks!

oh its easy!! pull the cubby out of the center console. near the rear of the console you will see the plug. just unplug and add the new adapter. you have to splice one wire but other than that its a snap. you will probably want to remove the rear cup holder assy to run rca's and stuff to the rear of the cab.--the instructions come with the adapter.

Thanks a bunch! I figured it wouldn't be too bad. Now it just needs to warm up a little more so I can get the sub box made. Got it all drawn up, just need to get the pieces cut and put together. Thanks again!
