I had the shop run the truck on the scanner today, and they asked me if my fuel guage had been acting up lately. Well, ys it has, sometimes it doesn't move and the the next moment its working. They told me that the trucks computer was telling the engine that it was running out of gas. Apparently the computer monitors the amount of gas in the tank along with what the guage reads. They cleared the codes, and I am to wait until it does it again.

Ever heard of such a thing????

Sounds like a bunch of BS. The computer could care less how much gas is in the tank. Unless you have a check gauges or low fuel light and then all that does is get you to scan your gauges.

Your problems aren't related in my opinion, just coincidental.
