Factory XM Wiring Harness

Recommended Posts

I have a 2005 Sierra 1500 crewcab without factory XM and was wondering if there is a wiring harness to go from the XM receiver to the radio. I have a brand new receiver but the kit was for an envoy and need to either find a wiring harness or build on myself. I have both plugs but need a pinout for them and also had read that I need to disconnect 2 wires from the 24 pin and move to the 12 pin . Anyone have a part # or a wiring diagram ??

Well I got the wiring harness built and installed. Out of the xm receiver there was 6 wires that needed to be connected, three went ot the 24 pin harness on the head unit (class 2 data, positive voltage, and ground) and the other three went to the 12 pin aux input (left audio, right audio, common). After intalled and activated everything seemed normal (steering wheel controls etc.) but do not have low frequency from bose system. Does anyone one know if I have to program with a Tech11 to get it to recognize the addition or do I need to upgrade to the Y91 amp as required when doing a nav. install. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
