2004 Dual climate control problems

Before I get flamed... I searched and didn't find any of the dual climate control issues discussed the same as mine.... Ok so pass side works fine but driver side is cold untill I raise setting all the way up to the top when it gets pretty warm, still not as warm as pass side. Pass side seems to be perfect all the way through the different settings just like it was off the lot. I checked for other issues like; Does it get stuck on one setting (hot or cold) or does it only happen some times more than others, or turning off truck for a while help. No. It seems to happen the exact same everytime I am in the truck. It is the manual up and down switch found on the Silverado work truck, not digital. Haven't been to the dealer yet, as I am quite confident they will attempt to rip me off again. (tried to charge a bunch of $$$ for an issue that turned out to be a "loose shock bolt"!!! thank god there is a different Chevy dealer near work!)

Sounds like the HVAC control needs to have calibration run to home the actuators that control the plenum units outlet door spans. Or the actuator itself is not feeding back correct position to the HVAC control. Are you still under warranty? If so take it in. Should be able to see what's going on using the Scan Tool. DTC's maybe set from the HVAC to tell the technician what's wrong.

Thanks mjwencl, I'll have it looked at... about to roll 40,000 so warranty just expired. New dealership I have been dealing with seems really cool. They helped with something last month no longer under warranty. thanks again

Have you tried to shut off the heater "O" button and shut off Ign? This helps to reset controller. You may also try unhooking the battery for a couple of minutes.

Worked for me.
