Alright, I can't take it anymore. Last year I hung out in a BMW forum quite often during the rebuild of my 535i that I bought from the local junk yard, and rebuilt at my brother in laws house. (Block up)

I went to the junk yard that day to pick up a turn signal light for my Nissan 4x4 that I was finally able to dump last month.

 

The Nissan replacement is a 95 GMC Z71 with a 350 (ext cab short box). I owned a 98 GMC Z71 with a 305 in 99 (the 95 is even the same color), I loved that truck almost as much as the bank that repo'd it back after my company closed it's doors to about 100 off us to make space for some important VP.

I'm thinkin' this new garage is not going to build itself very quick, it's cold as hell meets the artic, and I'm done waiting. I'm going to the yard next week, I'm going to pull a 350 and it's going on the back porch (which is kind-of enclosed).

 

Plans are to break it down hard, mag it out, bore it over, build it up, and make it look so pretty that no man in there right mind would think of putting it in a vehicle when it belongs in a muesum. Pictures will come, feel free to live vicariously, run-em hard, and always have a spare powertrain.
