miss under load in my 2000

Hello all, Im getting a miss under load in my truck. Only when accelerating from around 1/2 throttle and up. It gets realy bad when im in 4th and give it about 1/2 throttle, Just before it down shifts to 3rd and even after that it will miss alittle bit. Im not getting any check engine lights. I had a few thoughts on this. Bad gas, fuel pump, fuel filter, and i just changed the plugs about a month ago to the ac delco rapid fires gapped to engine specs. Any thoughs on this??

Thanks all.

Try the easy stuff first. Replace the fuel filter. You can also listen for a bad fuel pump, start the truck and stand beside the fuel filler door you will hear a loud whining sound coming from the gas tank area if the fuel pump is going bad. You can hear the one in my truck a little bit when its got below 1/4 tank in it, but it's been like that since I bought it. With no check engine lights, change the fuel filter, I think the recommended change interval is like 15 or 20K miles, but hardly anyone does it that often.

Any stored codes ?

Was this happening before plug change?....check your plug wires is one loose?

I'm thinking bad plug (perhaps a cracked insulator)

OR

Bad plug wire

OR

Bad coil pack

Thanks all. the truck is a 5.3 4x4.

You can hear the fuel pump but only when below a 1/4 tank so i hope thats ok.

The problem started after i changed the plugs but not right away. Maybe a couple

of weeks after. changed to ac delco rapid fire.

No codes being sent. No check engine light. My guess is it is mechanical.

Anybody know what size flare nut wrenches are needed to change the fuel filter. Ive run into to many problems trying to change these with regular wrenches.
