1995 Sub w/5.7

My flasher relay continues to "click" indescriminantly and randomly. I replced the relay but it continues and only stops when the brakes are applied or the blinker is actually activated (turning). When it is "clicking" the lights do NOT flash nor do the signlas in the dash flash. It just makes the sound like it flashing ..

Ideas? Do i have to tear apart the column to replace the turnsignal arm mechanizm?

Have you checked your tailer wiring harness and connections?

What would be wrong? I'm not pulling anything so it's not in use. What would I check for? it's all wrapped in black tape and sealed up with shrink tubing...
