ok a few questions here... my truck is a 1988 gmc seirra z71 offroad

1) I have a 3" blocks under the sup. in the back and sumone told me how to lift the front is to lfit the tortion bars...im wondering if that is correct or i have to put blocks/spacers on the front sup.?

2) With that 3" sup. lift do i need new shocks or can i keep the stock ones on there?

3) Is there anything else i should check/change after finishing this lift so it is correct for driving and offroading?

thats all i ahve for now i might think of more later as i coem across it!

You could crank the torsion bars. If you look around there is some information on other threads about that, but I'm not sure how much lift you could get doing that. An inch, maybe two? I plan to buy torsion keys. I'm not clear on how exactly these work. I think they reindex the bars or something. I've seen some that will give 2.5 inches of lift. And of course, after doing either of these, take it to an alignment shop and have it aligned. I don't know about the shocks, but I hope this gives you some ideas for lifting the front.

I've done a little more research here, and I would have to replace the shocks after replacing the t-bar keys and the add-a-leaf. Cranking the t-bars I believe also requires new shocks. Most lift kits will require new shocks, but I have heard of some using the stock shocks, so I guess it depends on your setup as to if you'll have to replace the shocks or not.
